…And we’re on a mission to raise the bar for SEO content.
Back in 2017, my story was quite typical: I was an international undergraduate computer engineering student, and like many students my age, I was looking for ways to make some extra money online to cover my living expenses while I was away from home (which is Alexandria, Egypt, by the way).
During my search, I came across the idea of building niche websites and decided to give it a shot. I ended up creating two affiliate websites– pretty standard ones, nothing too fancy, as experiments.
But then I hit a snag pretty quickly: I realized that creating quality content would be a huge challenge for me, and it was going to take a lot of time, money, and effort to even come close to competing with the big players in my niche.
Mind you; I wasn’t (and still am not) a great writer myself, so the thought of writing all the content for my websites was daunting. And even if I could manage to write it all myself, I knew it would take me forever!
Yet, at the same time, I didn’t want to skimp on quality by paying for low-quality content, nor could I afford high-end content options.
So I was stuck. It felt like I had two options: either give up on my dream of making money online or find a way to create the content that I needed. Fortunately, I chose the second option. I reached out to one of my Egyptian high school friends, who I knew had excellent English writing skills, and offered them a freelance content writing job.
That’s when things started to move a lot faster. The traffic to my websites started to increase, and I started making money from affiliate commissions. Encouraged by that success, I wanted to publish more content and rank for more keywords, so I followed the same process and hired two more freelance writers from Egypt.
The following one year or so was all about trial and error. I made a lot of mistakes, but I also learned a lot– about content creation, conversion rate optimization, and ranking websites. I tested different templates and methods and created SOPs for what I found to work well.
And by the beginning of 2019, I had sold one of my websites for $20,000+ with Empire Flippers. As a 22-year-old student, that was a game-changer for me.
At that point, I realized that I had hit on something special: I had found a formula for creating consistent, high-quality content at affordable prices. A formula that was working for me and could potentially work for other people too.
That’s when I decided to turn my content creation operation into a full-fledged service to help other people in the same situation that I had been in just a year before. I took the bold step of dropping out of college to launch a content writing agency (a.k.a ContentWish) and focus on scaling my niche sites portfolio. And the rest, as they say, is history.
ContentWish is the result of many late nights spent tinkering and testing until I finally had a service that I was proud of – a service that would make it easy for anyone, regardless of their budget, to get the steady flow of high-quality content they need to scale their business.
Fast-forward to today, in 2022, what was once a one-man operation (and eventually became a team of three) has turned into a remote in-house team of 25+ content writers, SEOs, editors, and managers from all around the world – all working together to create quality content for our very happy clients!
To date, we’ve helped countless clients in a wide range of industries– from pets to education, and travel to technology– create content that’s not only high-quality but also SEO-optimized and tailored to their specific needs.
We’ve come a long way in a short amount of time, and we’re not stopping anytime soon. We’re just getting started!
It’s been a wild ride so far, and I’m excited to see where the future takes us. But one thing is for sure: ContentWish will always be at the forefront of delivering high-quality, reasonably-priced content that ranks.
